Hi, Thank you for your lesson , I'd like to clarify this sentece 共有三款产品,Gòngyǒu sān kuǎn chǎnpǐn , where should we change the third tone to second tone . Is it already changed at kuan or until chan. Thank you

The tone changing rule is pretty forgiving, but generally for multiples of 3's you'd change every other until the last one. So in this case it'd be 323.

What if three tones are third tones, one by one? Which become the second tone? As in: "我很好 (wǒ hěn hǎo)".

Hi Kucyriski, good question! It gets asked often too. For now, you can go here to find some of Yoyo Chinese's previous answers to this question: http://yoyofeed.altervista.org/faq.html Scroll down to the Pronunciation section, the click on the question "What do I do when there are three or more 3rd tones in a row?"

So 3+3 becomes 2+3. What about 3+3+3+3....how is each one said? are the first 3 3s 2s?. And also, what is 3+3+3+2? Thanks, Randy

yan3 jiang3 .. got it .. so if both are third tones .. the first syllable of the two which is yan3 would be pronounced with a second tone right ?
Narang 3 years 9 months ago
Yes, that's correct.

Hi, I wonder if all of the syllables that do not show what tone must be pronunced in pinyin, are they neutral tone, can I call them like this ?

The tone mark only show above vowels. If there's no tone mark, it's neutral tone.
